About

Lori Henry, healthcare writer

Hi! I’m Lori, the principal writer at Lori Henry Communications. I’ve been telling stories for over 20 years in magazines, online publications, and podcasts.

I was also a health care provider. I ran a private practice specializing in eating disorders, as well as worked in a pediatric centre for children and teenagers on the autism spectrum. My clinical training included working in a hospital adolescent pain management service, a hospice, a physiotherapy clinic, and an inpatient adult eating disorders program. I’ve worked and trained in Canada and the UK.

Now I help clinics, private therapists, and healthcare startups, as well as hospital services, with their communications. From writing specialized content and editing reports, to co-creating health curriculum and developing full content strategies, I’m happy to take on projects large and small.

I love what I do and could talk healthcare comms all day. :) You can find me in Toronto, Canada, and often in BC.

Reach out if you have a project you’re trying to get off the ground or need help with something that isn’t fitting into your team’s workload. I look forward to hearing more!
